Editorial Standards

The Times of Talent reports what research, practice and cultures around the world teach us about developing people. These standards describe how we work.

Who publishes us. The Times of Talent is published by Autoris LLC. We say so openly. Our independence shows in the content: we write about ideas on their merits, and Autoris programs appear only in the site footer.

Sources. We build articles on peer-reviewed research, work from leading universities and research institutions, and books of lasting influence. Every study we report is cited in APA style, with a DOI or link wherever one exists. When a working paper is published in a journal, we update the citation. Preprints are labeled as such.

Accuracy of quotes. We quote from the original source and name the person who actually said it, including when a line has become famous under someone else's name.

Our own books. When we write about a book by an Autoris author, we say so in the article.

Formats and labels. Latest Science and Myths About Learning end with a Talent Takeaway, a practical note on how we can use a finding. Bookshelf entries end with Our Take, a short summary of why a book is worth your time. From Around the World reports what researchers and authors say about other cultures, in their words and on their terms.

Bylines. Most articles appear under The Times of Talent and are the work of our editorial team. Signed pieces carry the name of their author.

Corrections. We correct errors promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date of the change. Write to editors@thetimesoftalent.com if you spot one.

Advertising. Editorial content is free of payment. Sponsored content, should we run any, will be clearly labeled.

Images. We use images we are licensed to use, public-domain works and our own material, credited where required.

Use of AI. We use AI tools to search the research literature, draft articles and check our work. Our editors choose every topic, review and edit every article and approve it before publication, and every study we cite is checked against the original source. Responsibility for what we publish stays with us.
