Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal data The Times of Talent collects, why, and what choices you have. It applies to thetimesoftalent.com, our newsletter, our quizzes and our interactive You & AI cases.
Who we are. The controller is Autoris LLC, 1 Mifflin Place, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA. Contact: editors@thetimesoftalent.com.
What we collect.
- Subscription data. Your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. We also record when you signed up and confirmed, the wording you agreed to, the page you signed up on, the website you came from and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Your IP address is not stored with your subscription; to limit abuse we use a one-way coded version of it that changes daily.
- Email delivery data. Whether our confirmation, welcome and newsletter emails were delivered, as reported by our email provider.
- Quiz data. Your answers, used to calculate your score and show your personal report on the page. Subscribing to the newsletter from a quiz is a separate choice you make with its own checkbox.
- Big Five data. Your answers and your scores, stored under a coded key that your browser generates, without your name or email address. Our editors receive an anonymous copy of each completed result, so they can see how the assessment is used. Write to us if you would like your results deleted.
- You & AI data. The answer you pick in a case and, if you write one, your reasoning. If you add reasoning, an AI model reads it and writes a reply that appears on the page. We store your answer, your reasoning and the reply without your name, email address or IP address. To prevent abuse, we keep a one-way coded version of your IP address, which changes daily, for two days. Please don't enter names or other personal details in the box.
- Usage data. Page views, referring sites, campaign tags, device types and, where available, the country of the visit, counted by our own page counter. It works without cookies and stores a one-way visitor code that changes daily and is derived from your IP address and browser; your IP address itself is not stored. This data does not identify you personally.
- Google Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a LinkedIn post) and whether you continue to autoris.com, the website of our publisher. IP addresses are shortened before storage. You can decline, and your choice is stored for twelve months.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email or through the contact form, such as corrections, pitches or questions.
Why we use it. To publish the site, send the newsletter, show quiz and Big Five results, reply to your You & AI reasoning, answer messages, improve our content and keep the site secure. For readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, our legal bases are your consent (newsletter, Google Analytics), the performance of our agreement with you (quiz and Big Five results, the AI reply you request in a You & AI case) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the publication (our cookieless page counter, anonymous case statistics, delivery of fonts and site features, security, correspondence).
Service providers. We work with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:
- Netlify for hosting this website, the quiz application and the consent notice
- Resend for sending our confirmation, welcome, newsletter and contact-form emails
- Google Analytics (Google LLC), only with your consent, to measure which articles readers value and how they move between The Times of Talent and autoris.com
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) for the typefaces of this site; your browser loads them from Google's servers, which receive your IP address
- Supabase for our database and server functions: the newsletter list, Big Five results, You & AI answers, the contact form, our page counter and the reply function
- Anthropic (Anthropic PBC) for the AI model that writes the You & AI replies; it receives only the case, your chosen answer and your reasoning, and under its commercial terms does not use this text to train its models
We do not sell or rent personal data.
Cookies. The site needs no cookies to work. With your consent, we use Google Analytics cookies to measure how readers use the site. Our own page counter works without cookies. For the Big Five, your browser keeps a small anonymous key in its local storage so you can return to your results. You can change your analytics choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the consent notice will then appear again.
International transfers. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data. Subscription data for as long as you subscribe, plus a short period to process your unsubscribe. Quiz answers are used to produce your report and are not added to your subscriber record. You & AI answers, reasoning and replies for twelve months, after which they are deleted automatically. Big Five results until you ask us to delete them. Google Analytics data for 14 months. Messages for as long as needed to handle them.
Your choices and rights. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Readers in the EEA and UK may also complain to their data protection authority. Write to editors@thetimesoftalent.com and we will respond promptly.
Security. Data travels over encrypted connections, and access is limited to people who need it.
Children. The Times of Talent is written for professionals and is intended for readers aged 16 and over.
Changes. We may update this policy as our services evolve. The date above shows the latest version.
